And out.

Dear Charles,
This is a letter of resignation.
Working with neurocam was great fun, but honestly, I can't be bothered.
Thanks for the opportunity.

NTC – 5555/01

Weeee more 'cam action.
We probably won't end up being in groups at all, but this particular operation really interests me.
I can't really think of anywhere as of yet I will be able to apply this, but I'm sure I'll be able to locate some.

Ok so what happened?

Ok, so I've been out of the loop (country) for a little while so I thought I'd check in.
It seems another event went down that I was unfortunantly unable to attend on the 9th.
It sounded decidedly like a game of whatchacallit.
Hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer for some action.

More availability requests

Looks like something is going down on the 5th and 6th:

Dear Operative

You are hereby formally requested to provide details of your
availability for Tuesday and Wednesday the 5th and 6th of April 2005.

Please provide the requested data prior to close of business of Friday
25th March 2005.

Regards,

Charles Hastings
Head, Operations Division
Neurocam International

But it's a pity that I won't be around to enjoy it.
Fill us in those who go.

It's low when...

You get rejected, but not even told you are going to be rejected.
The NTC assignment looks like it has come and gone, and not a whisper from neurocam in my gmail inbox.

Probably just as well anyway, I got shitloads done today.

100% Not dead.

Ok, couple of things.

I got my new neurocam identifier today, as per the instructions I recieved at about midnight last night.

New book this time: Umberto Eco - Focault's Pendulum.

The exchange went smoothly, but as I switched envelopes, I looked around.
Behind me behind a bookshelf was a man standing perusing the books. Didn't get a look at him at all, in fact, could have been no one related.

On a side note, I got an email from no one I know, so here it is:

salam sale no mobarak pls mano komak kon
mikhastam darbareie jap be man etelaat bedy va einke che goone
mitoonam azash estefade konam maaieb va favaede ein ravesh ro ham
begoo
khaily motshakeram
tatilate khoobi dashte bashy

Can't find a translator, but then again, I don't really know what language it is in, arabic I can only assume.
If anyone knows what it means, get back to me.

Didn't die.

Ok, I had better fill in you guys.

Aliask,

Please observe these instructions to the letter. Failure to do so will
result in the termination of your involvement with Neurocam International.

Email me once you have read these instructions to confirm your
understanding of its contents and to inform me of your intention to comply.
If I receive your email before 2:00pm Saturday 12th March, the exchange
will take place without further correspondence.

-----
The exchange will take place at -censored-.

DO NOT enter the store before 4:00PM

Locate Thomas Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49" in the general fiction
shelves. Or, the place where it ought to be.

You will find there, a white envelope containing your Neurocam
Identifier. Leave some written confirmation that you have retrieved the
envelope in its place.

Promptly, leave the store by the Lygon Street entrance. Do not look back.

-----

Sincerely,

Charles Hastings
Head, Operations Division
Neurocam International

I didn't end up being able to make the exchange, as - contrary to previous suggestions - was not emailed on friday, but on Saturday, just before work.

Fortunantly, an arrangement has been made, and hopefully I'll be able to get the ID.

Ps. It seems that Charlie has indeed got a sense of humour (and reads my blog, touched), as he mentioned something along the lines of "Neurocam will not require you to die on that day. You will simply receive an identifier.".
